Here are a few recent tips from our readers that might help the full swing and "tee to green" aspects of your game.  And remember, GolfPositive readers are invited to submit their tips, and we will post the best.  Your submission can even be anonymous!

Fairway Bunkers Made Easy
"Over the years I have regularly experienced great difficulty in playing fairway bunker shots.  Playing with my pro just recently he gave me a tip which really works, and is so simple.  He got me to keep my weight on my front (left) foot throughout the swing, even though I was playing a long iron.  It made my striking of the ball much cleaner, taking the minimum of sand.  Thankfullly I no longer have any fear of playing this shot."

Dance Your Way to Lower Scores
"The best advice on tempo that I have heard is to pretend your dancing the two step... when you take the club back from your address position say to yourself 'one', then when you bring the club back from the set position count 'two'... this helped me hesitate at the top and really slow down- hope this helps!"

Shorter Swing for Greater Accuracy
"How about this for a tip.  I was shooting my mid irons everywhere but on the greens.  Playing in a pro am event our pro suggested that I cut down my swing to a three quarter length for mid and short irons, for greater accuracy.  Did it work?  You better believe it."
Denis in Dublin, Ireland

Maintain Height for Consistant Strike
"I had a habit of hitting my medium and short irons "fat", particularly when I was under a bit of pressure.  My pro gave me an excellent tip which turned out to be a cure.  He pointed out that in coming into impact I was losing my height.  He got me to imagine that there was a glass counter under my chin which resulted in me no longer dropping my head and shoulders when I was about to strike the ball.  That was about 12 years ago and I still have to use it occasionally to this day."
Michael in London, England

Tempo, Tempo Tempo!
"Tempo is indeed King for me.  I play a lot of my golf in windy conditions.  The best tip I ever received is to never alter my tempo when the wind is blowing: in fact make sure that I maintain my normal tempo whether I am playing against the wind or with it.  Previously my swing would speed up and then I would deliberately slow it down, all with disasterous results."
Sam from Fort Worth, Texas

Clear Hips/Shoulders for Greater Power
"Over a period of a few years I seemed to be losing a lot of length.  I tried new equipment and although I made a little improvement I knew I should be hitting the ball further.  In desperation I went to a local pro and he spotted right away what my problem was."
"At impact my hips and shoulder were square to my ball to target line resulting in me merely 'patting' the ball with my hands.  After a bit of a struggle he got me to open my hips and shoulders at impact thereby creating greater club head speed and consequently bigger distance.  For me it was the best tip I ever got."
Jeff from Alabama, U.S.A.
